Christine’s research lies at the intersection of law and politics. Her book project examines the policy agenda of the Solicitor General and the separation of powers dynamics at play in Supreme Court litigation. She specializes in how law interacts with public policy, judicial politics and constitutional law. Her research has been published in Political Research Quarterly, American Politics Research, and Polity and featured in 3Streams and the New Books Political Science Podcast . She also directs the Bird Law and Public Policy Research Lab.
Christine is an Assistant Professor at Oklahoma State University. She completed her PhD in Political Science in 2022 at the University of Texas at Austin. Christine holds a juris doctorate and a license to practice law in her home state, Oklahoma. Christine is a faculty research associate with the Policy Agendas Project and the Clark Center for Australia and New Zealand Studies. During law school, Christine held internships with the Oklahoma Supreme Court, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and in private litigation. She also holds a M.A. in Government from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Oklahoma.
